Currently, LAOR works on three research lines:
1) Operational research applied to production systems
- Optimization of production systems for problems of design, sequencing of production lots and distribution;
- Theoretical study and / or applied in programming problems in the production of individual machines, parallel machines, flow shop, job shop, open shop and others.
2) Operational research applied to the financial area
- Evolutionary computational models applied to finance for control of investment portfolios problems and cash management policies.
3) Operational research applied to data mining and machine learning
